Feeling good starts with a happy belly.
The intestines are essential for your dog's health. A balanced gut flora ensures that your dog feels good both inside and out. The BF® Probiotic Sheep Fat Bonbon Mini contains gut-friendly Bacillus velezensis bacteria, which contribute to an optimal intestinal balance. The product also supports skin and coat, digestion, and resistance. Suitable for all dog breeds and ages, and is grain- and gluten-free.
The gut-friendly Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544 bacteria restore the balance in the gut flora by displacing harmful bacteria, such as Streptococci and Salmonella. This can lead to better stool, less ammonia in the feces, improved stress resistance (e.g., during diet changes), and a dog that feels good.
Sheep fat consists of approximately 58% saturated fatty acids and 32% monounsaturated fatty acids. It is not just a flavor enhancer, but also plays an important role in the transport of vitamins A, D, E, and K. Moreover, the metabolism of dogs processes fat very efficiently, converting it into energy.
Deworming agents and conditions such as Giardia can damage the intestinal wall and disrupt the gut flora, which often leads to lifelong sensitivity of the gastrointestinal tract in affected dogs. Our BF® Probiotic products, such as the liquid variant, tablets, or bonbons, can provide valuable support in these cases.
Tip: Probiotics can help dogs with food allergies, as they can strengthen the immune system and bring the gut flora into balance, which may increase resistance to allergens. This can reduce allergic symptoms (reactions). However, it may take some time before the effect is noticeable (3-8 weeks), and not every probiotic works for every dog.
Note: To receive approval from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), a raw material, in this case, a bacterium (probiotic), must meet certain criteria for safety and effectiveness. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) protects consumers, animals, and the environment by providing independent scientific advice on risks in the food chain. Currently, there are only a few probiotics approved by the European Union Register of Feed Additives (EFSA) as gut flora stabilizers for pets, including our Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544.
Extensive research by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) shows that adding Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544 to dog food (or supplement) is completely safe, even with long-term use. Controlled tests with groups of dogs have shown that this bacterial strain (Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544) keeps the intestines stable and ensures a healthier composition of the stool. New clinical studies confirm that Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544 is very useful in the diet of dogs that are prone to a sensitive or disturbed digestion or loose stools.
In short: with our probiotics, you choose a product whose bacteria are registered in the EU with the European Food Safety Authority, abbreviated as EFSA. This guarantees that you are choosing a safe and good probiotic product for your pet.
