  • high-quality complete gluten-free dog food for puppies and junior dogs.
  • 41% chicken, beef, and turkey.
  • with salmon oil, glucosamine, and chondroitin.

BF® Puppy is an energy-rich, tasty food specially for puppies and young dogs. The food, containing more than 40% chicken, beef, and turkey, provides a powerful energy boost of 4200 kcal per kg. Pure top-tier Dutch quality, made with high-quality natural ingredients.

Give your young four-legged friend the perfect start with this completely easily digestible, extruded kibble. Thanks to the optimal protein-to-fat ratio of 32/18, your growing dog receives exactly the energy required. The kibble is 100% wheat- and gluten-free, which ensures calm digestion. Scottish salmon oil (rich in omega 3 & 6), glucosamine, and chondroitin provide support for flexible joints and help keep them strong. Supplemented with yeast, fibers, and prebiotics for a healthy gut flora and a powerful immune system. An extremely tasty meal with guaranteed high acceptance.
BF® Puppy contains everything a growing dog naturally needs: it promotes healthy development, strong bones and muscles, a shiny coat and skin, a robust resistance, supple joints, and strong teeth. Thanks to the low calcium content, this kibble is ideal for medium and large breeds, to prevent growing pains and perfectly support the skeleton. Also perfect for pregnant and nursing dogs. Pure and healthy food for optimal digestion, firm stools, and top condition.

Suitable for all dog breeds.
PLEASE NOTE! Puppies <4-6 months often have somewhat loose stools, partly because their digestive system and immune system are developing and they undergo major changes during this period, e.g., the transition to solid food, moving, stress, teething, vaccinations, deworming, etc. All this can temporarily make the stools looser. Keep an eye on it. A change of food is often not necessary, but patience certainly is.

Tip: Combining wet food and dry food provides variety and a balanced diet. This can be done by mixing them, but they can also be given separately. E.g., kibble in the morning and wet food in the evening. For more information, see mixed feeding info on our website.

Nutritional advice

Due to the high protein/fat percentage and the hypoallergenic/grain-free recipe, BF® Lamb & Rice, Sensitive mini, or Adult mini can also offer a solution for puppies that are sensitive or picky. For young dogs of larger breeds, BF®Petfood Active HE is a good option due to the larger size and high protein/fat percentage, provided the dog is not hypersensitive to a higher calcium content.

Puppy kibble nutrition:
- You can start feeding the puppy kibble from 3 weeks of age.
- For medium and large breeds, normal puppy kibble may become too small after a while.
- For medium-sized dogs, one can switch from puppy or high-energy kibble to normal adult kibble, such as adult crunchy and lamb rice, around 9-11 months.
- For large dogs, one can switch to adult food such as giant after puppy and then high-energy food around 9-11 months. This is a guideline. You may deviate from this depending on the age, activity, condition, and performance of your dog.
-Feed with your eyes. The amounts in the feeding schedule can be used as a guideline, depending on the age, activity, condition, and performance of your dog. The mentioned amounts should be given per day. Divide the amount over 3 to 5 meals. Always ensure sufficient fresh drinking water.
-The growth of a puppy can be divided into two phases. The first phase is that of rapid growth. Your puppy now needs a lot of energy. When he is about half-grown, the second phase begins. This is a phase of more moderate growth. The energy requirement then gradually decreases until your dog is an adult and has the energy requirement of an adult dog.
The duration of the two phases varies per breed. Small breeds, such as the Yorkshire terrier, are fully grown at an age of 6 to 9 months. Very large breeds, such as the Great Dane, are not fully grown until an age of 18 to 24 months. Especially for large breeds, it is important to grow out slowly in the second phase, so that bone and joint problems are prevented. Should your puppy(ies) have diarrhea problems due to their sensitive gastrointestinal tract, which is still developing, we recommend temporarily feeding BF®Petfood Meat Nutrition or BF®Petfood 3in1 biscuits (in addition).

*Gestation period: increase the amount of food in the 7th week by 10%, and in the 8th and 9th week by 20%. Lactation period: increase the amount of food by 50%, divided over 3 to 4 portions.
