What is the best way to store kibble?
As soon as a bag of dog or cat food is opened, the food comes into contact with oxygen and sometimes moisture and light. This can slowly affect the taste, smell, and nutrients. Therefore, always store opened bags of kibble in an airtight seal, in a cool, dry, and dark place – ideally in an airtight food container.

TIP: It is convenient not to put the kibble loose in the container, but to leave it in the original bag. Fold or roll the bag tightly shut (with a clip or knot) and place it in the container that way. This keeps your food container nice and clean and minimizes contact with air, moisture, and light. A handy extra trick: scoop a portion for a week or two into a smaller airtight container. Refill it from the large container when it gets empty. This way, the main supply is opened less often and everything stays extra fresh.
