For which other dogs is Active HE suitable?
-Active High Energy contains a healthy percentage of fat. Fat slows down gastric emptying and therefore digestion, which can be useful for certain intestinal diseases. Fat is generally well digestible, which is why dogs with EPI (a pancreatic disease), IBD (chronic inflammatory bowel disease), and gastritis (stomach inflammation) often experience less vomiting or diarrhea with a high-fat diet!.

-For young dogs, from puppy to junior, of medium to large dog breeds, Active HE kibble can also be suitable if the standard puppy kibbles become too small. It is important, however, not to overfeed large breeds (and thus provide too much calcium), which can cause problems. Too much is never good, though.

Tip: Combining wet and dry food provides variety and a balanced diet. This can be done by mixing them, but they can also be given separately. E.g., kibble in the morning and wet food in the evening. For more information, see mixed feeding info on our website.
